The same model can be used in Agile software development. It became popularized with by Mary and Tom Poppendieck's books, the first one, Lean Software Development, An Agile Toolkit, being published in 2003 (Poppendieck & Poppendieck, 2003). The concept of a responsible moment was introduced by Mary and Tom Poppendieck in their book Lean Software Development: An Agile Toolkit for Software Development Managers. She wrote the award-winning book Lean Software Development: An Agile Toolkit in 2003 to explain how the lean principles from manufacturing offer a better approach to software development. I just finished my February book from my 2010 tech book reading list, so I thought I would share some thoughts on Lean Software Development: An Agile Toolkit. What is Lean Software Development? Lean was brought into the Agile world by Mary and Tom Poppendieck who in their book "Lean Software Development: An Agile toolkit" translated 7 lean principles used in manufacturing to software development language.
